What I should be doing?
WRITING.
I have a potential opportunity to contribute some recipes to a cookbook that Harvest House is talking about putting out, and I've been dragging my feet about actually writing the recipes, because, I am scared of failing.
What else should I be doing?
BLOGGING.
I want to talk about the book I have been reading: The Help.
(But I haven't finished listening to the audio book yet.)
I want to talk about the cake I made that I was inspired to make while listening to that book: Minnie's Caramel Cake. Heavenly!
(But I ran out of sugar while I was making the cake, had to substitute ingredients, had to use an entirely different recipe for the icing, more of a mock caramel, and the icing seized up early, because I ran out of powdered sugar while I was making THAT recipe. Lesson learned: before you start making Minnie's Caramel Cake, be sure the sugar supply isn't running low!!!)
Here's a teaser picture of the cake with the slightly failed (appearance wise, anyway. The taste was FABULOUS.) caramel frosting version.

(That's a slang form of the brand new verb that I just made up: which means "to compute")

The Help is on my "to be read" list. That cake? Well, that would be on my "to be eaten" list. Yum!
Had caramel cake...love it! Haven't read the book though. Maybe it needs to be at the top of my readin' list for next winter.
